Who are you?
Sophie Hartley, 22, currently living in Plymouth (UK), and living in childhood cancer remission.
What is this blog about?
Personal stories and advice about living in childhood cancer remission. I talk about my treatment, living in remission as a teenager, and now as a young adult.
Why have you made this blog?
To change the way we talk about remission life. I want to improve the understanding of what it’s really like to live in cancer remission by sharing my stories, thoughts, regrets, and triumphs with you.
What type of cancer did you have?
Ewing’s sarcoma in my right femur.
What treatment did you have?
I had chemotherapy and a total distal knee replacement. I then had several lengthening surgeries on my legs to do with my knee replacement. These were intermittent from the age of 8 to 18.
